Today begins Ramadan
Oct. 15th, 2004 04:52 pmRamadan is a holy month to Muslims. I won't be joining anyone for meals during the day, as for the entire month I will be fasting from sunup to sundown.
I saw that dirty look, Madelyn. I'll be good and come down for regular checkups. But this is important to me.
If anyone has any questions, please feel free to wander by and ask. I'd be happy to discuss it. It is a time of reflection for me, a time to look back at the previous year and see what kind of a man I have been, and what sort of a man I want to be moving forward into the New Year.
Arabic class students - we'll be spending a good bit of time on language and culture during Ramadan. With a special surprise at the end of the segment. Trust me, you'll like it.
